The Promises

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, so that by faith, we might receive the promise of the spirit.” Gal 3:14 (NIV)

God has made so many promises to us! These promises are innumerable, and they cover every are of our lives perfectly. It is our responsibility as receivers of these promises to search and find these promises, and to apply them to our lives. The Bible is the complete collection of all these promises, and what’s more, it contains examples of people who practically received and walked in the beauty and power of these promises. 

It is vital that we place a premium on studying God’s word! That’s the only way we can truly understand all the vital components and benefits of God’s promises to us. The bible is undeniably replete with more sustainable promises than you could ever possibly plug into in your lifetime. And God has constantly proven himself over thousands of generations to be a God who NEVER fails or breaks His promises. God is completely faithfulto His word and He never ever fails. 

However, one major barrier to fully accessing these promises is an unfamiliarity with them. You cannot understand what you are oblivious to. And more importantly, you can’t properly appropriate something you don’t know. It is essential that you consistently familiarize yourself with God’s promises to you every single day. Find out what God has said about specific areas of your life. Confess and meditate on those promises with a desire to see them manifest in your life. Be steadfast in your belief that whatever God has promised you, He will do and even surpass your wildest expectations.
